Content Disclaimer

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Raheem.

We have built this site with the sincere intention of helping Muslims learn how to perform Umrah and Hajj correctly. We ask Allah to accept this effort, forgive us for any errors, and grant Mabrour Hajj and accepted Umrah to every person who uses it.

Our Sources

All ritual guidance on this site is based on:

  • The Noble Quran
  • Sahih Hadith, primarily from Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, with references to Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan Ibn Majah, and other established collections
  • The rulings of the four main madhabs (schools of jurisprudence) where relevant, with the majority or most widely-accepted position presented as primary

We Are Not Scholars

The creators of this site are practicing Muslims with a deep love for this Deen. We are not Islamic scholars, muftis, or fatwa-issuing authorities. We have done our best to present authentic, accurate guidance — but we are fallible human beings.

Please do not treat this site as a substitute for consulting a qualified Islamic scholar, especially for:

  • Questions specific to your personal circumstances
  • Questions about the validity of a Hajj or Umrah already performed
  • Questions about making up missed obligations
  • Issues of financial or physical ability
  • Any situation with unusual or complicating factors

Madhab Differences

There are four main schools of Islamic jurisprudence — Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali — and they differ on some minor aspects of Hajj and Umrah. Where differences exist, we present the most widely accepted position. If you follow a specific madhab, we encourage you to verify the rulings with a scholar of that school.

Reporting Errors

If you believe any content on this site contradicts authentic Islamic teaching, please tell us immediately at admin@colorbluelabs.com. We take accuracy seriously and will review any concern promptly. Correcting an error is more beloved to us than leaving it uncorrected.

May Allah accept the Umrah and Hajj of every Muslim who uses this site. Ameen.
